Jamel Toppin is a freelance photographer based in New York City. His interest in photography began as a teenager, shooting flowers and lizards in the back yard , in his native country of Trinidad and Tobago, when he was given his first camera at the age of fifteen. Although his work comprises a wide variety of subject matter, he specializes in the field of portraiture.
