Malike Sidibe is a West African New York City based photographer. His journey started in Côte d'Ivoire and took a detour through Guinea before ultimately moving to New York City at the age of 13. It was then that he picked up a camera for the first time as a photographer — a decision that would eventually lead to becoming a Nikon Ambassador.
Sidibe is inspired by the people he meets and the places he’s been, blending his multicultural background with vibrant, dreamlike imagery. He initially studied menswear design, but quickly realized that he was more interested in photographing people in clothes instead of making them. To put it simply, Sidibe tries to make the world a little more interesting, one photo at a time.
